10+ Organically Grown Seeds — Behind the Wheel
A compelling modern heirloom from Bill Yoder, Behind the Wheel is a distinctive variety bred with Yoder’s signature focus on flavor, balance, and visual appeal. This indeterminate, regular-leaf tomato produces medium to medium-large fruits with classic heirloom form and rich coloration that deepens beautifully as the fruit ripens.
The flesh is dense and meaty with restrained gel, making it excellent for clean slicing. Flavor is where Behind the Wheel shines—full, savory tomato richness with a smooth sweetness and low harsh acidity, the kind of profile that appeals equally to collectors and everyday eaters. It’s versatile, dependable, and deeply satisfying.
Vigorous plants set fruit steadily through the midseason and benefit from sturdy support. Like many of Yoder’s creations, Behind the Wheel is thoughtfully bred, memorable, and designed to deliver both garden performance and exceptional eating quality.
