RB003 Hot Pepper Seeds – Rare Ross Barber Superhot – Yellow Reaper × 7 Pot Brain Strain

RB003 is an extreme Australian superhot created by pepper breeder Ross Barber of Queensland, Australia. Developed from a cross between a Yellow Carolina Reaper and 7 Pot Brain Strain, RB003 combines two formidable superhot bloodlines into one exceptionally gnarly and highly sought-after collector pepper.

The fruits are spectacular. Pods mature from green to deep red and develop heavily blistered, wrinkled, and contorted surfaces reminiscent of their Brain Strain and Reaper ancestry. Individual peppers can develop twisted scorpion-like forms and pronounced pointed or stinger-like ends, giving RB003 an unmistakably aggressive appearance.

And the appearance isn’t bluffing.

RB003 is an exceptionally hot pepper. Estimates of approximately 1–2 million Scoville Heat Units are frequently reported, placing it firmly in superhot territory. However, we have not found authoritative laboratory testing establishing a definitive SHU rating, so these figures should be considered estimates rather than an official measurement.

What makes RB003 especially interesting is that there’s genuine flavor underneath all that heat. Growers describe a fruity, citrus-forward and floral character, sometimes accompanied by a slight bitterness. The combination works particularly well for extremely hot sauces where a relatively small amount of pepper can contribute tremendous heat along with distinctive flavor.

Plants are vigorous and can become quite large under favorable conditions, with reports of plants reaching approximately 3–4+ feet tall. They can also be impressively productive, producing substantial crops of the wicked-looking red pods.
